From's Heart Cherry — Deutsche Pomologie

Cherry varieties occupied an important place in Lauche's Deutsche Pomologie (1882–1883), which documented hundreds of fruit varieties cultivated across the German-speaking lands. Its chromolithographic plates set a benchmark for pomological illustration, combining scientific precision with a painterly sensitivity to colour and form.
