František Kouba was a prominent Czech ornithological illustrator whose work contributed to the rich tradition of scientific bird illustration in Central Europe during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. His prints are known for their accuracy and artistic quality, particularly in depicting the subtle iridescence of corvid plumage.
