Red-footed Falcons in varied plumage stages, revealing the species' remarkable sexual dimorphism and age-related variation.
František Kouba. Plate 22. From Zoographia Infinita. Published in Prague, c. 1900.
František Kouba was a prominent Czech ornithological artist whose detailed and scientifically accurate illustrations contributed significantly to the understanding of European bird species at the turn of the twentieth century. The Red-footed Falcon's striking colour differences between male, female, and juvenile made it a compelling subject for illustration.
