Suecia Antiqua et Hodierna was a grand topographical work providing an invaluable visual record of seventeenth-century Sweden's cities, palaces and churches. Riddarholmen Church, founded as a Franciscan monastery in the late thirteenth century, served as the principal royal burial church of Sweden and is one of the country's most historically significant buildings.
Copperplate engraving. Sheet size approximately 40.0 × 30.0 cm. Good condition, with some age toning and minor handling wear.
