Original title: Insigne Ducatus Smolandiae. Dutch School. Published in the Netherlands, c. 1650.

This print captures the distinctive regional identity of Småland, a historical province of southern Sweden, through its traditional coat of arms. Such heraldic illustrations were essential components of early modern atlases and historical works, documenting the political and geographical landscape of Europe in the wake of the Thirty Years' War.
