A hand-coloured lithograph from Emile Thézard’s La Maison Pour Tous, a pattern book of affordable villa designs published in Dourdan, c. 1900.

Z. Oget.

Thézard’s publication offered detailed architectural plans — façades, cross-sections, and floor layouts — for middle-class villas costing between 3,000 and 10,000 francs. These plates capture the optimistic domestic architecture of the Belle Époque, when a rising bourgeoisie aspired to homes that balanced economy with elegance.

Chromolithograph. Sheet size approximately 32.5 × 25.0 cm. Excellent.
