Suecia Antiqua et Hodierna was a monumental topographical work commissioned by King Charles X Gustav of Sweden, intended to glorify the Swedish Empire. Dahlbergh's ambitious project documented Sweden's cities, palaces, and landscapes with remarkable precision and artistic flair, creating an invaluable historical record.
