Thézard's publication offered detailed architectural plans — façades, cross-sections, and floor layouts — for middle-class families seeking affordable suburban and country homes during the Belle Époque. This second view from Bergerat's Plate 40 shows an alternative villa elevation for the commune of Ermont in the Val-d'Oise, north of Paris.
