From Deutsche Pomologie by Wilhelm Lauche, Plate 26. Published in Berlin, 1882.

Wilhelm Lauche's Deutsche Pomologie (1882–1883) documented hundreds of fruit varieties cultivated across the German-speaking lands. Its chromolithographic plates, printed by the firm of Paul Parey, set a benchmark for pomological illustration, combining scientific precision with a painterly sensitivity to colour and form that remains unsurpassed in the genre.
