A charming Belle Époque interior, intimate and lightly risqué, drawn from the morning rituals of a Parisian boudoir.
Drawn by Maurice Millière. Published in La Vie Parisienne, Paris, 1913.
Maurice Millière was among the signature illustrators of La Vie Parisienne, celebrated for his knowing depictions of the modern Parisienne. His morning and bath scenes typified the magazine's playful eroticism and elegant draughtsmanship, blending the lingering ornament of Art Nouveau with the cleaner geometry that would soon shape Art Deco.
Chromolithograph. Sheet size approximately 36.8 × 28.9 cm. Excellent.
