Jacques Hincelin was a prominent French wallpaper designer of the Art Deco era, recognised for elegant patterns produced for the Parisian papiers peints industry. His magnolia designs epitomise the period's fascination with Japonisme and exotic flora, treated with the refined palette and stylised geometry that distinguished the most accomplished French wallpaper work of the 1920s.
