A rare and historically significant copperplate engraving depicting ancient Swedish sites, from Olof Rudbeck the Elder's monumental Atlantica.

The upper plate, Delineatio fontis Swingarnensis in Upplandia siti, shows the Svingarn Fountain in Uppland. The lower plate, Delineatio lapidis cujusdam haud procul ab antiqua Gothorum regia sede Sigguna siti, depicts the Nykellsteen Stone near Sigtuna. Designed by Olof Rudbeck the Elder, engraved by Dionysius Kock. From Atland eller Manheim (Atlantica), Volume 1. Published in Uppsala, 1679.

Olof Rudbeck the Elder's Atlantica was a groundbreaking work of Swedish antiquarianism, attempting to prove Sweden as the origin of all human civilisation, illustrated with detailed and imaginative engravings of ancient sites and natural phenomena.
